BELLAGIO AND THE VILLAS

From Como, catch the boat to Bellagio (Navigazione del Lago di Como).

In less than one hour, you will reach Bellagio, from always considered "the Pearl" of Lake como, for its wonderful location.

Bellagio is famous for its wonderful ancient villas. The most inportant of these is Villa Serbelloni, in a very big park (18 km2 of paths and garden).  You can have a tour with guides from April to October, from 11 am until 4 pm - no on Monday). Another beautiful villa is Villa Melzi (1810), neoclassic style, with its wonderful gardens (visits from April to October, from 9 am to 6 pm).

Let's remember Villa Giulia, too ('700). A lot of statues, fontains and exotic trees, Villa Trivulzio and Villa Trotti.

Before returning to Como, we suggest you a visit to the characteristic small streets of the village, in the small borgo, where you find many boutiques and handcraft shops.
