The "Al-Marnich" Guest House was born 18 years ago, in a very ancient original farm (from the 1798 D.C.), that Mr. Emanuele Bonfiglio (The Owner) has recovered and transformed in a nice and rural accommodation, in a strategical position, because very near to the lake of Como (8 Km only). "Al-Marnich" is an accommodation (agritourism) in Lombardy (Farm House lake Como - Italy) near Como City (Schignano). This is where you will taste authentic dishes and food specialities of the Lombardy. Available B&B and Half Board accommodation includes double amd family rooms, with some, boasting an original fireplace or a nice terrace/balcony. The property is surrounded by lush greenery, with a panoramic hiking trail and a small gym. To 1 hour from Milan (Rho Fiera), to 45 minutes from Lugano (Switzerland), to 25 minutes from "Villa Balbianello" (Lenno) and to 15 minutes from lake Como (Argegno - boats/ferry center). Farming activities are based on the breeding of barnyard animals, sheep, goats and on beekeeping for honey production.The growing of small fruits, chestnuts and other vegetables, used by the farm to prepare food in respect of a wholesome feeding, is also practised here.It is an ideal place to spend days or holidays very close to nature as well as a good starting point for making excursions on foot and by bicycle through the surrounding valley, across the Monti Lariani Way, to the alpine refuges next to the Swiss border and trips to the river or lake.Here tourists can visit monuments and natural oasis, make boat trips and practise aquatic sports. Recently has beeen added a small exhibition of ancient farmer's tools and furnitures and a new 'relax' area where is possible to have relaxing experiences such as Yoga, Shiatsu massage, Antistress massage or Physiotherm sauna.
