Here lemon and olives trees (be sure to taste the unique taste of the oil which is still produced at Lenno).

It is an ancient destination of the international tourism: in fact its villas and its big hotels have often had famous guests.

 

Villa Carlotta at Tremezzo with its incredible flowerings, which colour the splendid park, and Villa Balbianello at Lenno (with the spectacular park on the Lavedo promontory degrading to the Lake) must be visited even by the most hurried tourist. At last the Comacina Island at Ossuccio (the only island on the Lake) with its medieval ruins, witness of a great history, which is remembered every year through the S. Giovanni festival in June.
