Christmas Island 2010 - Opening Special: Dec 8th 2010

This is the most extraordinary event of Christmas on Lake Como, for the first time, the only island in the lake, Isola Comacina,  will become a fantastic park with a Christmas crib decorated with charming robots puppets immersed in a fairy-tale setting and then, Santa Claus, reindeer, and plenty of snow for children' s delight.

Comacina Island, famous for its picturesque landscape and the archaeological and artistic site, known for the famous S. Giovanni summer fireworks ,which attracts about 25,000 visitors each year, is the optimal location for the creation of an extraordinary event during the Christmas period.

The island will be decorated with wooden houses designed to represent scenes from daily life during the Christmas period, as the carpenter's shop, the blacksmith's forge, etc. .., which will alternate with mechanized puppets, along with a Santa Claus and reindeer . Thanks to the artificial snow will be unique and enchanting landscape, snow-covered pines between small and scenic lighting.

In addition to secular representation of Christmas Island, do not miss the realization of the religious nativity scene with baby Jesus, Mary, S. Joseph and the Magi

The whole performance will be structured in paths and guided tours, aimed mainly at families, children, students, but also organized groups.
