BELLAGIO

 
Provincial capital and famous as being the silk city. Points of interest: the Cathedral, the Broletto, the Basilica of St. Fedele and St. Abbondio, the Volta Temple and museums.  A recommended destination is Brunate, which can also be reached by cable railway, where one can take-in the splendid panorama.
 
The town stands on the headland between the arms of Como and Lecco del Lario. It is famous and appreciated for its characteristic inner city, its villas such as Villa Melzi and Villa Serbelloni, and its stunning scenery. It also boasts a varied and cultured business proposition and has excellent accommodating facilities.

Positioned in the centre of the eastern bank of the lake, is one of Lario's main tourist centres.
Its villas are famous: Villa Monastero and Villa dei Cipressi, the beautiful lakeside walk and enthralling panoramic views. Close by are the ruins of Vezio castle.

Lugano delights in a splendid position on the lake of same name, and is visited for the summer vacations due to its Mediterranean-type climate.
