La Notte Bianca – a night not to be missed in Como !

The date for the most magical night of the year – la Notte Bianca – has been confirmed as June 10th 2006.

From 6 in the evening until 6 in the morning there is a buzz both in Como and all around the lake. Shops remain open throughout the night , as well as bars , discos and a host of cultural shows , designed to attract all classes of visitor.

Revellers at La Notte Bianca last year will surely recall a balmy summer's night , when Como was thronged with people. There was a carnival atmosphere , the outdoor highlight being a spectacular firework display. The night sky over the lake was filled with a myriad of colour.

La Notte Bianca is the brainchild of the local community and is set to foster good relationships and a justifiable pride in the lake and its environment.

Judging by the response to last year's Notte Bianca , we can look forward to another night of magic and perhaps a little romance.
