Trattoria del Vapore was estblished as a restaurant at the present location well over 100 years ago. Archives indicate the premises were previously used for several decades as a tavern perhaps also serving meals before becoming a restaurant.

 

The word "vapore" ("steam" in English) was used for the steam-powered lake boats which docked just around the corner from the restaurant before the present piazza with boat dock was developed on land donated to the town.

 

Today the restaurant

is a typical and charming place where is possible to taste traditional dishes and specialities from Como lake.

 

In the restaurant there is also a small wine shop to make a choose which of a great selection of national wines to drink during the dinner or to buy it.
